Development Minor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Training and Development minor prepares students for positions in both informal training roles as well as in formal employee training and development programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The skills and knowledge students gain in this program will help them in their future day-to-day leadership and management roles in a variety of industries, as well as open the door to become full-time trainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since this program complements many different majors, the training and development course requirements are offered entirely online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Training and Development minor curriculum includes coursework in the following areas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>training theory and application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communications and relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>human resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>adult and leadership education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>current technology topics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These competency areas align with the standards established by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and Association for Talent Development (ATD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Training-and-Development-Minor-Program-Plan.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Training-and-Development-Minor-Program-Plan-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Training &amp;
