including Professional Selling, Sales Management, and Advanced Professional Selling courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fosters&nbsp;relationships with sales professionals&nbsp;in business, academia and among WSU alumni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continually seeks out&nbsp;academic&nbsp;and extracurricular activities&nbsp;that advance the connection of those professionals with our students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emphasizes experiential exercises and&nbsp;real sales experiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivers&nbsp;research&nbsp;and leadership&nbsp;that advance the sales profession and compliment the mission of the Marketing Department, College of Business and Winona State University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This facility includes role-play rooms designed specifically for teaching fundamental communication skills necessary in the sales business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently our sales students have a 100 percent job placement rate, with many students receiving multiple job offers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the success of the program, WSU has been named one of the Top Universities for Professional Sales Education by the Sales Education Foundation for the last 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"panel panel--white\">\n        <div class=\"panel__container\">\n            <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                        <\/div>\n            \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sales-team\">Sales Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sales Team students gain real-world sales experience by competing in sales competitions both in-house and across the country providing the students an opportunity to showcase their talents with potential employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Complex role play scenarios encourage students to develop essential sales skills and business acumen while interacting with business professionals from a variety of industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Winona State University Sales team competes nationally in several sales competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"panel panel--white\">\n        <div class=\"panel__container\">\n            <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                        <\/div>\n            \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Events<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oct. 13-15:&nbsp;Great Northwoods Sales Warm-up, hosted by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oct. 19-20: National Team Selling Competition hosted by the Indiana University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nov. 2-5:&nbsp;International Collegiate Sales Competition hosted by Florida State University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"panel panel--white\">\n        <div class=\"panel__container\">\n            <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                            <div class=\"h3\">News<\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n            \n    <div class=\"feature mb-1 wsu-block\">\n        <div class=\"feature__media\">\n   <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/09\/Gazebo-WSU-Letters-Fall-1280-600x338.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"feature__content\">\n   <a class=\"wsu-link\" href=\"\"><div class=\"feature__title\">Strauss Center for Sales Excellence Named a 2022 Top University for Professional Sales Education<\/div><\/a>\n   <div class=\"feature__description\">The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) released their 2022 list of Top University Sales Programs, highlighting the WSU Strauss Center for Sales Excellence as one of the top programs preparing students for professional selling careers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"feature mb-1 wsu-block\">\n        <div class=\"feature__media\">\n   <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/09\/Gazebo-WSU-Letters-Fall-1280-600x338.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"feature__content\">\n   <a class=\"wsu-link\" href=\"\"><div class=\"feature__title\">WSU Sales Team University Champions at 2022 National Shore Sales Challenge<\/div><\/a>\n   <div class=\"feature__description\">The Winona State University Sales Team won the overall championship at the National Shore Sales Challenge sponsored by Salisbury University in Maryland March 31 &#8211; April 2. This competition is the third largest national collegiate championship and hosted competitors from 38 universities. The individual results included Mikaela Mohr as role play champion, Mohr and Stefan Einarson as two of the 10 finalists for Speed Selling, and Ben Prom as a semi-finalist in the role play competition.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"panel panel--white\">\n        <div class=\"panel__container\">\n            <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                            <div class=\"h3\">Partners<\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n            \n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide many opportunities for companies to recruit and interact with our sales students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Strauss Center for Sales Excellence relies on its partners for support&#8211; both financially and through input regarding current and relevant business practices.
