The Communication Arts and Literature (Teaching) (CALT) major<\/a> consists of 92 credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll complete coursework in literature and communication studies as well as education through the Teacher Education Program. You should apply to the College of Education<\/a> by the end of your second or third semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be aware that getting admitted to WSU and enrolling as a CALT major doesn\u2019t guarantee admission to the Teacher Education Program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is meant to thoroughly prepare you for the world of teaching. Over the past 10 years, 97%<\/strong> of CALT students got a job within one year of graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
