The final judges in each genre will be visiting writers from our John S. Students may submit only one entry in each genre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block tabs\">\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-nav\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-1\">Fiction<\/button>\n<button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-2\">Creative Nonfiction<\/button>\n<button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-3\">Poetry<\/button>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-content\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Fiction<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>All entries must be submitted in 12-point font, double-spaced.<\/p>\n<p>The page limit is 25 pages.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Creative Nonfiction<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>All entries must be submitted in 12-point font, double-spaced.<\/p>\n<p>The page limit is 25 pages.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Poetry<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>All entries must be submitted in 12-point font, single-spaced.<\/p>\n<p>You may include up to 3 poems in a single manuscript which will be considered as 1 entry.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submissions are due to Minn\u00e9 302 by\u00a0Nov. 15.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each entry must include the following items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" style=\"list-style-type:1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A cover sheet with the student\u2019s name, WSU email, phone number, and the genre of submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A one-paragraph biography written in the third person that includes the qualifying creative writing class and professor of the class.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A printed copy of the manuscript itself (not in digital form).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of being currently enrolled in, or having completed, a Creative Writing course at WSU.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not submit a full transcript or Degree Audit Report (DARS). Instead, include a screenshot of the entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the students submits to more than one genre, they must complete steps 1-4a for each submission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions that do not meet the guidelines will be discarded. Denis states: \u201cEarly in life you hear about the power of words, but the more I read, the more I grew to appreciate the beauty of words.
