Global Studies is a multidisciplinary program that will enable you to understand the profound sociocultural, political, economic, and ecological changes taking place at the global level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this program you will gain analytical and intercultural skills to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, which will enhance your problem-solving capabilities. With a degree in Global Studies, you can play a meaningful role in areas such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Diplomacy and conflict resolution<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Business and economic policy-making<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Environmental sustainability<\/li>\n\n\n\n

One advantage of majoring in Global Studies is that it allows you to select your own courses related to global phenomena while working with a faculty advisor. Compared to other degree programs, Global Studies allows you the flexibility to design your own major (with some requirements) built around your global interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By learning a language and studying abroad (which is highly encouraged), you can develop intercultural communication skills and engage in experiential learning. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

\n<\/div>\n\nA Warrior’s Journey to Leadership<\/div><\/a>\nNayeli Cubias ’24 joined Winona State through the HOPE Academy program, which helped her feel welcome and connected.
