Summer Course Planning

A successful Summer Session begins with a good deal of advanced planning. Summer Session planning can and should start as early as the beginning of fall semester. While your previous summer outcomes are fresh in your mind, fall is a great time to assess what went well and what could be improved for the next Summer Session.

Reviewing data to help you plan for the next Summer Session is a great place to start. Once you glean insight from that data to make the best possible decisions for your students and your department, utilize the following resources to set your plan into action.

Below you will find tools and information to help guide you in your course planning for Summer Session.

Getting students excited about your summer offerings will go a long way in generating enrollment. Remember that taking the time to talk to students about Summer Session during advising for Spring Semester is one of your best (and simplest) promotional strategies.

In addition to creating your own word-of-mouth, ACE will provide support and opportunities for you to access.

  • Encourage students to attend the Summer Opportunities Fair: Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018
  • Use our ready-to-use poster templates to customize a poster with your course offerings
    8.5" x 11" Template
    8.5" x 11" Blank
  • Ask for promotional support. If you feel you have some amazing opportunities that students would jump at if they knew of them, let ACE know. We can help bolster your messaging and increase your exposure to current and visiting students.
