Students walking in campus tour

Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in Winona State University. The best way to experience what being a Warrior means is in person.

Group visits are designed to highlight the university experience for students in high school (9-12th grades), in college preparatory programs and transfer students.

To give students an overview of Winona State University, a group visit includes:

  • Admissions Presentation 30 minutes
  • Campus Tour 60 minutes

Your group might also opt to include additional experiences such as:

  • Inclusion and Diversity Guest Speakers 15 minutes
  • TRiO Guest Speaker 15 minutes
  • Meal Option (for purchase) 45 minutes

If you have special requests for campus experiences that are not part of the standard visit program, please let us know when you complete the Group Visit Request form. We try our best to make any accommodations we can to tailor the visit to your group’s needs.

Thank you for including Winona State University in your travel plans!

  • You can also make note of any special requests on the Group Visit Request Form. We will do our best to accommodate all requests given availability of dates and staff.

Group Visit Guidelines

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your program time. If your group is running late, please contact the Admissions front desk at 507.457.5100 so we can make other arrangements.

Groups arriving more than 15 minutes late are not guaranteed their full agenda, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
All groups are required to have chaperones. Chaperones are responsible for monitoring behavior of the visiting students during the group visit.

Please remind the students of the importance of being quiet in the academic buildings to respect the learning environment of our students, faculty and staff.

Please notify us at least 2 days in advance if you need to cancel your visit. Contact the Group Visit Coordinator at or the Admissions Office at 507.457.5100

Encourage students to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. We give tours in rain, snow and shine!
Your group has the option to eat in the campus dining hall for another experience of student life at WSU. Current lunch and dinner tickets are $8.79 per person.

Tickets for the group must be purchased in one transaction by the group leader with cash, card, check or purchase order. This allows the group to move quickly through the lunch line.

Group leads will need to provide the following information on the Visit Request Form to create an invoice for the meal purchase:
  • Group Leaders Name
  • Billing Address
  • Number of tickets
A final invoice will be created day of the program. Please call 507.457.5100 for current pricing details
