Visiting campus is the best way for you to decide if Winona State is the best fit for you.
We are so excited to be able to host on-campus, in-person presentations and tours once again so you can see for yourself what's possible at Winona State!
As with most things during this time of COVID-19, we have instituted new guidelines to help ensure the health and safety of all visitors, guests, students and staff.
Please be sure to read the following guidelines closely.
On-Campus Visit Experience
On-campus Visits will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am, 1pm and 3pm each day.
The Visit will last about two hours and will include an Admissions presentation, a brief Housing & Residence Life information session, and a guided campus tour.
Each Visit session will be limited to a maximum of 20 guests per session.
Visiting students will be limited to 1 guest (i.e. one parent, relative or friend).
All visitors must be 16 or older.
Each visitor must have a reservation – no walk-ins will be allowed.
There will be only one way to enter the Admissions Office and one way to exit. These doors will be clearly marked.
Visits and tours could be impacted by a color coded safety-level system that aligns with the university's campus safety-level color coded system. Access to residence halls and other buildings on campus may be limited during tours due to changes in safety levels. If access is limited, visitors will be provided a "virtual" look at the affected areas.
Health Screening & Check-In Process
All visitors will be asked to complete the COVID-19 Self-Assessment within 24 hours prior to checking in.
This screening is intended to help you identify any symptoms you might be experiencing.
On the day of your scheduled visit, check-in will be in the first floor lobby of Maxwell, outside the Admissions Office. At check-in, you will be asked several health screening questions and you temperature will be taken.
Wear a Mask, Practice Good Hygiene & Keep Your Distance
A face mask is required for our on-campus visit, both in our buildings and on tour. You can read more about Winona State University's Mask Policy.
If you are not willing or able to wear a mask, you will not be allowed into the Admissions office or presentation.
Instead, you will be provided with a link to our virtual presentation and given a map to use for a self-guided tour.
All visitors should follow the recommended COVID-19 healthy practices while on campus.
Wash Your Hands Often
Hand sanitizer stations will be available around campus.
Practice Social Distancing
Keep at least 6 feet between yourself and others. There will be appropriate markings placed in the Admissions Office and throughout campus to help you maintain your distance.
Wear a Mask
Please bring a face mask with you. If you don't have a mask, one will be provided to you.
Cover Your Cough and Sneezes
Cover both your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow when you cough or sneeze.
If You Have Been Exposed to COVID-19 or Feel Sick
If you know that you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus within 14 days of your scheduled visit, please do do not come to campus.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please do not come to campus:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Thank you in advance for following these safety guidelines.
