The course grade becomes part of the student’s official Winona State transcript and permanent college record.

Because students are earning college credit, they are also taking on college-level responsibility. Encourage your student to understand the expectations of the course, communicate with their teacher, meet deadlines, and ask for help early if they need support.

College records are protected by FERPA, which means the student’s Winona State grades and transcript belong to the student.

How to Apply

To join the Concurrent Enrollment program, you’ll need to work with your student’s high school guidance counselor.

There are no minimum GPA requirements or other pre-requisites for students. Your student’s high school will determine if they are ready for college-level coursework in a concurrent enrollment class.

There is no application form for high school students to submit. Your student’s high school counselor will provide their enrollment details to Winona State.

Concurrent Enrollment Courses

High schools choose which courses are available to students. Your student’s high school may not offer all of these course options.

All Winona State concurrent enrollment courses meet goal areas in the How to Support Your Student

The best thing you can do is guide your student to set goals, access campus resources, and solve their own problems.

If you are concerned about your student’s success, reach out to their high school teacher or guidance counselor.

If you are having academic difficulty in your course, reach out early to your teacher or school counselor. Successful college students know when to ask questions, seek support, and take ownership of their learning.

Understand Student Data Privacy

In K-12 schools, parents have access to their student’s class grades, GPA, and other information on their student records. However, this changes once your student attends a post-secondary institution through a concurrent enrollment course.

Your student becomes the sole owner of their university student data and must choose to give their parents, guardians, or others permission to view their records.

Learn more about how Winona State addresses student data privacy.

Remind Your Student to Check Grades

After your student has completed your CE course, they should verify their grades in Student eServices to make sure they are accurately listed.

Your student should let us know immediately if the grades listed on their student record do not match the grade they received in the course.

Contact

           Winona State Concurrent Enrollment

       Email the Concurrent Enrollment Team

The Winona State Concurrent Enrollment program gives your student an early start on college while they remain in the support system of their high school.

["post-8613","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
