Julie is an administrative professional with experience in educational, managerial, and executive roles. As the WSU Business Outreach Coordinator for Winona and Rochester, Julie is committed to delivering high quality, customized programs tailored to improve organizations’ vitality in the region. This includes conducting needs assessments, designing and implementing training plans, and evaluating results to make impactful change.
Julie uses a holistic approach, promoting resources and wrap-around services across sectors. She currently serves on the Winona Chamber Economic Development Authority, Winona Ambassador, and Winona Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Board. Julie said, “I believe in investing, developing and maintaining relationships. I am a connector and a collaborator, looking for genuine connections with people and discovering ways to help businesses succeed. I strive to be the region’s trusted workforce training partner.”
Prior to joining the WSU team, Julie provided leadership in the delivery of business consulting services for the Southeast Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC), hosted at the Rochester Community and Technical College. She was responsible for overseeing 7 Small Business Development Centers serving an 11-county region in Southeast MN.
Julie offices out of two locations, on campus at WSU Winona and the new WSU-Rochester on Broadway facility, located in Rochester’s Destination Medical Center (DMC) Discovery Square District, in the hub of business activity and economic growth.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Winona State University. She also holds a Certified Contract Trainer (CCT) Certification. In her spare time, she enjoys singing homegrown harmonies with the Rhubarb Sisters, a women’s acapella quartet.
