Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take non-credit, continuing education classes?
Our non-credit and continuing education classes are open to adults, ages 18 and older, unless otherwise indicated in the course description.
How do I find a non-credit, continuing education class?
Click on "courses" in the menu bar to the left to browse for courses by subject or interest area, or click on "search" in the menu bar to the left to search for courses by title, instructor, date, location and other perimeters. When you have found a course that interests you, full course descriptions, instructor credentials, directions to class, and other pertinent course information can be viewed by clicking on the links.
Why do I need to sign in to register for a class? How do I sign in?
To register for a non-credit class on this site you will need to sign in to your account. If you have never registered for a non-credit class on this site before, you will not have an account, and are considered a new student and will need to create a new student profile. Creating a profile will provide you with your own personal password-protected account. Having an account will allow you to register and pay online and track your non-credit course selections. Please note if you are a current or past WSU student: This account is not the same as the account you use to register and pay for credit courses.
If you have registered for a non-credit class on this site before, you will have created a student profile and are considered a returning student and will have an existing account. To register for a class as a returning student, click on "sign in" on the menu bar to the left and follow the prompts.
When you create your new student profile, required information is marked with a red asterisk. Please choose a username that you will remember easily.
To prevent duplication of records, and ensure that we can contact you about the classes you register for, please provide your home address and personal phone number and personal email address. Do not list your employer, school or organization address, email address or phone number as your primary contact information.
The requested demographic information is optional, and is used by WSU strictly for planning and statistical purposes.
After you have created your student profile, you will receive a copy of your profile via email.
After you have created your student profile, and on subsequent visits when you sign in, you will notice additional menu options that will allow you to edit your profile, check your past and current registrations, and view your transactions.
If you have any questions or need assistance creating a new student profile or signing in, contact WSU Adult & Continuing Education at 507.457.5080, 800.DIALWSU ext. 5080, or email@example.com.

What if I cannot attend a course as planned?
Withdrawal and refund policies vary from course to course; please be sure to review the specific policies when you register for your class. If you need to withdraw from a class and notify us before the withdrawal deadline stated when you registered for the class, you may, depending on the stated policy for that class, be able to transfer to another class or receive a full or partial refund. No refunds or transfers are allowed if you notify us after the stated withdrawal deadline. If you have any questions about withdrawal deadlines and refund policies for a specific class, please contact us at 507.457.5080, 800.DIALWSU ext. 5080, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
What happens in case of inclement weather?
Severe weather, emergency conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel a course or an individual class date. In the event of a cancelled course or class date, we will make every effort to re-schedule. If a cancelled class cannot be re-scheduled, a refund will be issued.
