Linda was appointed as the Assistant Vice President of Distance Learning and Summer Session and began her role with the Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) department at Winona State University (WSU) in July 2017. In this role, Linda will provide leadership and direction for the department which focuses on the needs of adult learners. Additionally, Linda will take on the leadership responsibilities for building a wholistic online presence that will serve all WSU students in Winona, Rochester, and wherever they may be. Under Linda’s leadership, ACE will focus on continuing to provide management, marketing, and promotion of opportunities for all adult learners, Summer Session initiatives, new online program development, and business outreach in the Winona, Rochester, and surrounding communities.
Linda has a wide range of experience in education. She began as a math and computer instructor at Minnewaska Area High School. Linda continued teaching at Alexandria Technical College (ATC) in Alexandria, Minnesota. Her transition into administration began with the Distance Learning Coordinator position, also at ATC. She also held academic Dean positions at Minnesota State College – Southeast and Saint Paul College and was the Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs at Saint Paul College.
Linda earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Dakota, her Master of Science degree from St. Cloud State University, and her Ph.D. in Education from Capella University. Linda is excited to be a part of the WSU community in both Winona and Rochester.
