Meet Our Admissions Team

Minnesota colleges and universities have been working hard to make the transfer process easier. You can help by planning ahead, asking questions, and using the pathways created by transfer agreements. If you have any

Apply to Winona State

Once you are ready to take the next steps towards joining the Winona State community. Please apply for admission. If applicable, you may wish to self-identify as an Adult Entry Learner. For assistance with the admission process, please contact the WSU Admission office at 507.457.5100 or admissions@winona.edu.

Paying for College

The free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the main step you will want to take to apply for financial aid. Although you will automatically be considered for some scholarships with you applicaiton to Winona State some additional ways that you can apply for funds would include:

  • Academic departments scholarships
  • Talented-based scholarships
  • WSU Foundation scholarships

Acceptance

Check myWSU to follow your application as it progress through our Admission office. Once you have been accepted you will be invited to spend a day on campus. During this time, you will be able to register for courses, meet with an advisor specific to your intended major, have the opportunity to select a laptop, and much more.

Orientation

We have developed a web based Adult Student Online Orientation. This self-paced tutorial is a great resource for information that you may find helpful before your classes begin. In addition, Winona State has several online resources specifically geared toward helping students connect with, and prepare for, a successful academic experience at Winona State.
