Students have access to a wide variety of free academic support services at WSU. Advising Services supports students with registering for classes, selecting majors and overcoming academic challenges.
They can also connect you with services for writing skills, tutoring and career planning, just to name a few.

Tutoring Services |
Offers free academic assistance to all students through one-on-one and group tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are typically led by peer-student tutors. |
Writing Center |
Helps students master college-level writing by providing guidance on ideas and organization. Writing Center tutors will also review grammar rules with you. |
Academic Status Calculators
Regularly calculating your GPA is a good way to make sure you stay on track. To find out what grades you need this semester to get back in good standing, take time to calculate your GPA and completion rate.

Study Skills Course: EDUC 115
EDUC 115 is an interactive, hands-on course that meets for an hour once per week. It's designed for students on academic warning or probation to help you identify personal and academic barriers so you can tackle them head-on.
In this course, you will explore:
- Your own motivation level, academic strengths and challenges
- If your major fits with your strengths, personal and professional goals
- How to manage your time, how to take good notes and other study strategies
- Resources such as tutoring, writing center, counseling services and more
