The Athletic Training program at Winona State is a nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Board of Certification Pass Rates

100% Pass the First Time

WSU students have been very successful in passing the Board of Certification (BOC) examination on the first attempt since the program’s inception. Over the past three years (2016-2018) we have achieved a 100% first time pass rate with 36 out of 36 students passing the exam. Program retention rate: Measures the percentage of students who have enrolled in the professional program who return to the institution to continue their studies in the program the following academic year. Program Retention rate is calculated as: the number of students who returned to the program for each subsequent year divided by the total number of students in the cohort.

Student Graduation Rates

Graduation rate (taken from United States Department of Education): Measures the progress of students who began their studies as full-time, first-time degree- or certificate seeking students by showing the percentage of these students who complete their degree or certificate within a 150% of "normal time" for completing the program in which they are enrolled. Program Goals and Outcomes

The WSU Athletic Training program is committed to providing the best educational experience to the students accepted and enrolled in our professional degree program. In order to ensure program effectiveness multiple points of assessment data are gathered to evaluate the success of the curriculum, the clinical experiences and our students.
