What should I do if I have surplus property?

Surplus property is any state-owned property that is obsolete, unused, not needed for a public purpose or ineffective for current use, such as:

  • Equipment
  • Materials
  • Supplies
  • Books
  • Printed matter
  • Buildings

Individuals and or departments who have surplus items should email with the following information:  

  • item description
  • quantity
  • physical condition of the property
  • location of item
  • contact name
  • phone and e-mail for the item
  • a picture of the item (if available)
  • and the item’s asset number (if applicable)
