Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept children with special needs?
All Children’s Center classrooms are inclusive and welcoming of children with special needs.
A partnership with District 861 provides children with identified needs through Early Childhood Special Education with opportunities and services delivered within the classroom.
Parents are also invited to discuss their child’s needs with center administrators and teachers to determine together if WSU Children’s Center is equipped to successfully meet the needs of the child.
Does WSU's Children's Center provide drop-in care?
How do I change my child's schedule?
Schedules may be changed by contacting the child’s teacher with a request for a schedule change. If staffing and teacher/ratio can be maintained the request is often honored. Additional charges may apply with a change in schedule. Questions can be answered by contacting the office at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 507.457.2300.
Can I visit my child anytime during the day?
Parents and adult family members are welcome to visit their child’s classroom throughout the day. Visits can be scheduled by contacting the child’s teacher. Parents are also encouraged to share talents/expertise in center classrooms. We also welcome parents and family members to join us on field trips throughout the year.
