Let's Celebrate the Class of 2020
Commencement is a time to celebrate the successes of our students, and WSU is committed to recognizing all the accomplishments of our graduates.
However, our top priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and the surrounding communities. With current circumstances, a virtual celebration is being planned for Fall 2020 Commencement.
When it is safe to do so, we will pivot to an in-person celebration, following the guidance from the state and healthcare experts. WSU is closely monitoring the situation with evolving health and safety guidelines.
All Spring, Summer and Fall 2020 graduates will receive commencement information via email throughout the semester.
Please send any questions or concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Class of 2020 Virtual Celebration
While we are not able to gather in person for our official commencement ceremony on campus as is tradition, we can and we will come together to celebrate the Class of 2020 with hearts full of Warrior Pride.
We’re inviting our graduates, campus community, friends and family to come together for a virtual graduation celebration.
Planning for this celebration event is underway.
The Spring 2020 Virtual Celebration will give you a sense of what it will be like:
- President Scott Olson virtually addressed the graduating class from McCown Gymnasium
- the Class of 2020 student speakers delivered their speeches from their homes
- the premiere of a commemorative video made for and by the Winona State Class of 2020
Friday, Dec. 11, 2020
Please keep in mind that dates, times and location may change due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It's an online Virtual Celebration, where we can view the virtual celebration and pay tribute to our grads, together.
As plans for this event develop, there may be additional ways for you to join in on the celebration of our newest Warrior graduates.
