How do I schedule an appointment?
Students can either call 507.457.5330 or stop by Counseling & Wellness Services, Integrated Wellness Complex 222, between 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. You will be scheduled for a Triage appointment. This triage session will last approximately 20-25 minutes and will assess your needs and determine how to best serve you. Questions? Please contact us.
What if I am in crisis and can’t wait?
Generally, appointments are scheduled ahead of time. However, if you feel you cannot wait or are in crisis, please call Counseling & Wellness Services, 507.457.5330, or stop in at Integrated Wellness Complex 222. We will make every effort to see you that same day. Please visit our Emergency/Crisis Information page for more information.
Our demand for services is such that occasionally we may have a waiting list. Please consider those students waiting for services when you think about not showing up for an appointment.
If you must miss a session due to illness (please stay home if you are sick) or an emergency, please call Counseling & Wellness Services at 507.457.5330 to cancel the appointment as far in advance as possible. This will allow another student the opportunity to see a counselor. You may leave a message as well if the office is closed or the Office Manager is unavailable.
If you do not come for your initial appointment and do not cancel ahead of time, we will assume you have decided you are not interested in services at this time. Please feel free to contact us in the future if this changes.
We appreciate when students are on time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you may need to reschedule.
