Plans & Workgroups

WSU has formed a COVID-19 Coronavirus Planning and Response Team that is meeting weekly and following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and Minnesota Department of Health.

The COVID-19 Planning and Response Team developed several workgroups (PDF) to deliver on the campus pandemic plan.

Campus leadership is reviewing and actively deploying aspects of the university pandemic plan to ensure that the university community is prepared and protected.

The WSU Cabinet is responsible for making campus-wide decisions in response to COVID-19.

Recent Outcomes

The classes that will be offered face-to-face at WSU-Rochester have been scheduled in conjunction with RCTC to properly distance students in the classrooms. Faculty can contact WSU-Rochester Student and Campus Services at WSURstudentservices@winona.edu for assistance with facilities and scheduling.

WSU-Rochester is sending bi-weekly updates to their students to provide updates on fall instruction. Email updates will increase in frequency as we get closer to the start of fall instruction. Please contact Joe Hammes at joseph.hammes@winona.edu for information on communications within Rochester.

WSU-Rochester has created an online form so faculty, staff, and students the ability to send comments and questions, anonymously if preferred, directly to Dr. Gangeness.

WSU-Rochester will be partnering with RCTC to organize outdoor and drive-in events. Please contact Trent Dernbach at tdernbach@winona.edu with recommendations or for more information on student activities in Rochester.

WSU-Rochester will be printing official WSU campus signs based on the designs provided by the Signage workgroup. WSU-Rochester has reviewed the signs already in place at RCTC, their downtown building, and additional offsite locations and are coordinating with each individual office and department to distribute additional signage as needed.
