Careers in English

Students who major or minor in English pursue careers in publishing, teaching, non-profit organizations, business, government or continue their education in graduate or professional schools.

Students are encouraged to include internships as part of their academic experience. Students may arrange internships on their own, contact English faculty members and advisors or work with the Career Services office. To earn credit for an internship, students need to submit an Internship form and identify a faculty supervisor who works with the on-site supervisor.
