User ID and Password Information
Federal PIN Number:
The federal PIN number is your electronic signature that allows you to sign your FAFSA and your Federal Direct Master Promissory Note (MPN) online. It also provides you access to your personal records, so you should never give your PIN to anyone. The PIN application is for students and parents who want to apply for a Federal Student Aid PIN. To apply visit FASFA.
If you have lost your PIN number, go to FASFA and request a duplicate PIN. You do not need to apply for a new PIN number.
WSU Warrior ID:
Your Warrior ID number is given to you when you register for classes for the first time. After you have registered for classes, you can use this identifier to conduct most business at WSU.
StarID and Password:
You are assigned a StarID when you register for classes at any Minnesota State campus, including WSU. Once you activate your StarID, you will use it to access all online resources including email, the wireless network, ISRS and D2L Brightspace. ISRS is the program you will use to register for classes, housing, and to view the student dashboard. You will use D2L Brightspace to find out course information and other resources your instructors may have set up for a class.
