Serving Adult Learners through Prior Learning Assessment at WSU

This project is designed to increase awareness and engagement of faculty and staff on prior learning assessment (PLA) policy and practice through training and communication and to establish sustainable methods to operate PLA assessment, administration, and student advising based on nationally recognized standards for PLA developed by CAEL and supported by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Lumina Foundation.   This project will benefit the University by advancing WSU’s capacity to attract, retain, and serve adult learners, particularly on the WSU-Rochester campus and through online programs.
