About Equity & Inclusive Excellence
As part of our mission we are committed to cultural diversity and supports the following initiatives:
- Promote understanding of the cultural and ethnic heritages of African, Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and other diverse groups at WSU through co-curricular programming of events and activities
- Encourage the retention and success of historically underrepresented and under-served students (i.e., diverse students, students of color and first-generation college students)
- Enhance curriculum development through the inclusion of multicultural perspectives by providing resources for intercultural campus and community initiatives
The ultimate aim of Winona State University's commitment to cultural diversity is to empower students for successful living in a global society.
