Cross-Cultural Scholarship (CCS)
The Cross-Cultural Scholarship is available to all international students at Winona State University. The CCS scholarship covers the difference between the tuition rate for residents and the rate for non-residents.
How do I qualify to receive the CCS?
You will automatically receive the scholarship when you enroll as an International student at Winona State University.
All new students are required to attend the CCS Training session during International Orientation.

Maintaining the Cross-Cultural Scholarship
At the end of each academic semester, each CCS recipient will be reviewed to determine if they will receive the scholarship again the next semester. To maintain the scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a valid F-1 or J-1 Immigration Status
- Completed 2 Cross-Cultural Outreach projects each Fall and Spring semester. These projects are called Minor Project (1) and Major Project (1), for a total of 2 projects each semester.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50. Maximum length of scholarship is 9 semesters.
