Pre-Law Professional Pathway

Interested in law school? First, you’ll need to complete a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent before beginning law school.

It is suggested that interested students follow a program that provides in-depth study in areas that promote critical thinking and written and oral communication skills.

Many Pre-Law students major in EnglishHistory, Legal StudiesPolitical Science and Public Administration, or Economics. Other majors in our department also provide an excellent background for law school.

Before deciding to pursue a legal career, interested students are encouraged to contact Pre-Law advisor Dr. Gregory Richard to get information about majors, minors, grade point averages, internship and volunteer activities, law school admission tests, personal statements, and law schools in the US.
