Contemporary Art and University Collection Galleries
Two galleries on the first floor of the Laird Norton Center for Art and Design will foster a creative culture that celebrates visual art as an integral component of University life and a core connection between the University and the community.
University Collection Galleries
For the first time in Winona State’s history, the University Collection galleries will create a space to showcase the amazing gifts of art the university has received during its history. The University galleries will provide climate-controlled storage for the collection as well as space for scholarship and rotating exhibitions that highlight different objects in the collection.
Contemporary Art Galleries
The Contemporary Art Galleries will be home to monthly exhibitions by regional and nationally recognized artists that emphasize new research in the field. These gallery spaces will also exhibit student exhibitions in Studio Art and I-Design. Both galleries will be open to the community and seek to collaborate with other arts organizations in Winona.
