WSU Living History Project
The Living History Project videos provide a permanent, documented legacy and an overview of these WSU Retirees’ lives, experiences, accomplishments and contributions to Winona State University during their careers.
Living History is a Retiree Center project in collaboration with the Mass Communication Department and English Department (Film Studies Minor). It involves student teams engaged in hands-on learning with all aspects of the production of the Living History documentaries.
Students research, interview, write scripts, film and edit the documentary into its final form. A premiere showing of the documentaries on the WSU campus highlights the talents of the student production teams and the careers of those being honored through the Living History project.
This intergenerational experiential learning venture is a project of pride for the entire WSU community of students, staff, faculty, administration and retirees
