Next Steps

Submitting your admission application is the first part of pursing your degree at WSU-Rochester. Next, you’ll have to take a few additional steps before the next semester starts.

1

Check Your Email and U.S. Mail

You can expect an admissions decision within three to four weeks after all your application materials are received. Check your email and mail for further information from WSU-Rochester.

2

Connect with WSU International Services

The WSU International Services and Cultural Outreach Office supports WSU-Rochester students as they complete the admission process, travel to the United States, connect with on-campus resources and become part of the WSU community.

The staff are a great resource for all your questions about studying at WSU-Rochester.

3

Transfer Previous Credits

To receive credit for courses taken at another college or university, you must submit an official evaluation. WSU strongly recommends that you ask for a “Course by Course” evaluation through one of these services:

This evaluation should be sent to WSU International Services Office.

We are not able to tell you how many credits will be accepted and whether they meet degree requirements until the credit evaluation report is received. All courses will be evaluated as “electives” until course descriptions are provided.

4

Apply for Scholarships

Scholarships are an excellent way to help pay for your college education. International students are eligible for several scholarships from WSU such as the Cross-Cultural Scholarship.  You might also consider applying for scholarships from outside sources like professional organizations, foundations and corporations.

5

Get Your Student Visa

Before you can study at WSU-Rochester, you will need to apply for an F-1 student visa. It is best to apply for a visa as soon as possible because it can take some time to process application and arrange an interview.
