Once you’ve been accepted to WSU-Rochester and to your degree program, there are some additional steps you’ll need to take before the semester starts.
Activate Your StarID
Your StarID are the login credentials you’ll use to access many online services at WSU. You can activate your StarID online.
If you transferred from another college or university in the Minnesota State system, you already have an active StarID username and password.
Connect to WSU Email and eServices
Check your personal email for instructions on how to set up your student email and information about the WSU laptop program.
It’s also a good idea to log into your eServices portal with your StarID. eServices provides access to online services such as:
- course registration
- grades and transcripts
- financial aid awards
- tuition statements and payment options
Apply for Financial Aid
Apply for financial aid as soon as possible after being admitted to WSU-Rochester. The primary application used by WSU Financial Aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
You may also want to look into student employment and scholarships to help you pay for college.
Financial aid advisors are available if you have questions.
Register for Classes
Call the Student and Campus Services office at 507.285.7100 to find out who your faculty advisor is and learn about the course registration process.
Then schedule a time to meet your advisor and discuss the courses you plan to take next semester. It’s important to regularly meet with your advisor to ensure that you are moving through the program appropriately and on track to graduate.
If you ultimately decide not to enroll, please notify Winona State University by email at WSUTransfer@winona.edu.
