Kate is new to the faculty of Winona State University. She defended her dissertation at the City University of New York in the spring of 2014. Her special interests includes the critical studies of marginalized bodies in medical and cultural contexts, which is why she is interested in critical gerontology as well as disability studies, GLBT/queer studies, and theories of power. She is excited to take the reins of the gerontology program and continue her research on marginalization in older adulthood. Kate lives in Winona with her spouse, who is currently on the CAST faculty, and daughter, who is at the WSU Children's Center.
