{"id":1404,"date":"2024-04-10T08:29:45","date_gmt":"2024-04-10T13:29:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/?page_id=1404"},"modified":"2024-04-10T08:30:48","modified_gmt":"2024-04-10T13:30:48","slug":"alternate-testing-procedures","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/support\/access-services\/alternate-testing-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"Request an Exam with Accommodations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Students with accommodations must schedule their exams at least 3 business days in advance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a good idea to sign up for all exams at the beginning of the semester so you don\u2019t miss a deadline later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are expected to take your exam at the same time as the class, so any variances must be discussed in advance with your professor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your professors may choose to provide accommodations for your exams in a quiet area near the classroom or in their department. They may also prefer that you take your exams in the Access Services Office in Maxwell 314.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU-Rochester students will use a quieter room on campus to take exams with accommodations provided by Access Services staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule an Exam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/warriorspace.winona.edu\/ProcessDirector\/form.aspx?pid=cbc76cfa-e332-489a-a868-237dcf390893&amp;formid=864847a5-453e-4cd5-8f9b-5e99d42ac65e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Access Services Student Dashboard<\/a> to schedule an exam:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in with your StarID and password, if prompted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Test Dashboard, then &#8220;New Test Request&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose a valid time on Monday-Friday between 8am-3:30pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember the 3-day rule&#8211;you have until 4:29pm today to sign up for an exam that is 3 business days from today\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete all the fields and click \u201cSubmit\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also see which exams you\u2019ve scheduled to take in the Access Services Student Dashboard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact Access Services at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:accessservices@winona.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accessservices@winona.edu<\/a> \u00a0if the date or time needs to be changed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more detailed instructions, please consult the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Access-Services-Student-Handbook-2014.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Access-Services-Student-Handbook-2014.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Access Services Student Handbook<\/a>&nbsp;(PDF).<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block accordion\">\n        <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"What_if_I&#039;m_late_in_signing_up_for_an_exam?\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"What_if_I&#039;m_late_in_signing_up_for_an_exam?\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            What if I&#039;m late in signing up for an exam?        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>You will receive an email notice telling you that you are too late to sign up.
