Once you are admitted to WSU, you will have access to the housing application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To access the housing application, you will need your StarID and password. Most of our rooms are double occupancy, meaning most students will have a roommate.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited to offer a social platform called \u201cMy College Roomie\u201d as a way to meet other students and find a roommate. Details on how to create your My College Roomie account will be sent via email within 1-2 days after you\u2019ve completed your housing application. Be sure to check your junk\/spam folder.<\/p>\n<p>There are 2 ways you can get paired with a roommate:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Get matched with another student during room selection. Most students do not request a roommate and will meet their roommate after the room selection process in April<\/li>\n<li>Once you have a completed housing application, you\u2019ll be able to request a roommate within your Housing Application. This can be done from Oct. 1 &#8211; April 1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Important notes about roommate requests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A roommate group cannot have more than 2 individuals in it<\/li>\n<li>Roommate groups must be created and verified by April 1<\/li>\n<li>Students in a roommate group will receive the same time slot for room selection<\/li>\n<li>Time slots for roommate groups are based on the \u201caverage\u201d of the students&#8217; completed housing application date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Learn more about how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/housing-dining\/next-steps\/roommate-information\/\">find and request roommates<\/a>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Choose_Your_Room\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Choose_Your_Room\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Choose Your Room        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Students can pick their exact room during the room and meal plan selection process if they submit their signed Agreement for Housing &amp; Dining and $250 pre-payment<strong> by April 1<\/strong>. Room selection time slots will be sent via email in early April.<\/p>\n<p>Time slots are determined by the date the housing application is completed. This means we&#8217;ll honor the latest date that both the $250 pre-payment and the signed agreement are submitted.<\/p>\n<p>When you receive your time slot, you will be able to access the room selection portion of your application on your <a href=\"https:\/\/eservices.minnstate.edu\/esession\/authentication.do?campusId=074&amp;postAuthUrl=http%3A%2F%2Feservices.minnstate.edu%2Fregistration%2Fsecure%2Fsearch%2Fbasic.html%3Fcampusid%3D074\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Housing Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once your room selection time slot opens on April 20-23, you can filter preferences based on what hall or type of room you would like to live in. Then, you can view open spaces meeting those criteria and select your room from those options.<\/p>\n<p>Students who submit their application and payment after April 1 will be assigned a room by our office staff. For complete details of the cancellation policy, refer to Sections 9 and 10 of the your Housing &amp; Dining Agreement.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Feb. 26: Same Hall Selection<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Select a room in your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/housing-dining\/residence-halls\/\">current residence hall complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you live in Richards and you\u2019d like to live in your same room again, you will select a room during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Or, if you live in Haake now and you\u2019d like to live in Kirkland next year, you will also select a room during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Room selection is on a first-come, first-served basis, so there is no guarantee you will get your same room again.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">March 4-5: All Hall Selection<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Select a room in a different residence hall from where you currently live.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you currently live in Sheehan and want to live at East Lake, you will select a room during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Verified roommate groups will receive a time slot to select a room.<\/p>\n<p>Priority for room selection is based on the amount of earned credits of a roommate group. Students can apply on their Housing Portal and will be assigned a room based on room preferences indicated in their application and available spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meal Plan Selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meal plans for next year will not be finalized until late spring or early summer. At that time, you will have access in your Housing Portal to choose your meal plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All students living in the traditional residence halls are required to be on a meal plan.
