Getting involved on campus is one way to enhance your college experience at Winona State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you are looking to step into a leadership role through Hall Council or become a student employee, we are confident your experiences will increase your leadership skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are not ready to take on a formal leadership role, there are still many ways to get involved. You can participate in your floor or hall events, assist your RA with planning an event, or volunteer to help on the Welcome Crew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hall Council<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each Hall has a Hall Council, which is comprised of elected positions, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Both first-year and upper-level students are eligible to hold these roles. Elections are held within the first month of the fall semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hall Council meetings take place on Mondays in each residence hall, providing an opportunity for residents to ask questions, share feedback, and voice any concerns to their Hall Council representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Want to see minor changes in your hall? Have suggestions for dining services? Hoping for different items to be available at the front desk? Bring your ideas to a meeting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hall Council members collaborate with the Area Coordinator to explore the possibility of implementing changes. Getting involved in Hall Council is a fantastic way to step into a leadership role on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Residence Hall Honorary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a student honorary supported by National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated (NACURH).\u00a0NRHH strives to recognize individuals who have contributed to the advancement of Housing & Residence Life and the Winona State community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members complete monthly recognition projects, write Of-The-Month (OTM) nominations, and complete service projects each semester.\u00a0NRHH also provides its members with resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities. To join, fill out the\u00a0NRHH Application Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the Month Awards (OTMs)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Of The Month awards (OTMs) are short essay nominations (200-600 words) to recognize outstanding individuals and residence hall programs that have made significant impacts on our campus. OTMS are due at midnight on the 5th of every month. OTMs are graded on campus, regional, and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone is welcome to submit an OTM nomination to say, “Good Job!” for all the hard work individuals put in daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome Crew<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Help new students move into the residence halls as part of the Welcome Crew. Volunteer sign up for Fall 2025 will be available during spring semester. Move-in Day for Fall 2026 is Aug. 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
