Build-Up Rooms are clearly labeled during Room Selection in the Housing Portal.<\/p>\n
Students who are assigned to a Build-Up room by the Housing Office will be notified via email.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Loft & Bed Dimensions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n Many students choose to\u00a0rent a loft to maximize the space in their room.\u00a0Due to increased occupancy and overflow housing, loft rentals will be\u00a0limited for Fall 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nFor safety and liability reasons, all lofts must be rented through Winona State. All rooms are furnished with beds that can be adjusted to a height of 3 feet without a loft extension kit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Loft rental fees are $50 per semester. All loft charges will be applied to your student account within the first few weeks of each semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Request a Loft<\/button>\nReturn a Loft<\/button>\n <\/div>\n\n \n
Request a Loft<\/button>\nStudents living in standard rooms in Sheehan, Prentiss-Lucas, Richards, and Morey-Shepard<\/strong>\u00a0may request a loft through the Housing Portal beginning\u00a0June 1<\/strong>. Loft request decisions will be sent via email in late July and no later than August 1.<\/p>\nStudents living in any other residence halls will\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0be able to request a loft.<\/p>\nStudents living in build-up rooms will be provided sufficient beds for each resident and do not need to submit a loft request.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\nReturn a Loft<\/button>\nIf you choose to return your loft, please contact your RA.<\/p>\n
Loft cancellations and returns can only be done during the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks of the semester.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n
