They will guide you and explain concepts, so you can gain the skills to complete your assignments on your own.<\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div class=\"panel__main\">\n            \n\n<p>A tutor will not complete your assignments or projects for you.&nbsp;They cannot help you take an exam or quiz, since these tests are given to measure what you know. The only exception is if you show the tutor a written statement from your professor that clearly states it&#8217;s allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our tutors are your peers\u2014they are other WSU students who have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>completed 32+ credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>earned a grade of an A or B in the courses they tutor for<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>been recommended by a faculty member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU tutors follow the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ntatutor.com\/code-of-ethics.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tutor Code of Ethics<\/a>&nbsp;developed by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntatutor.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Tutoring Association<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are low-income, first-generation college students, or have a disability may be eligible for additional tutoring and other support through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.winona.edu\/trio\/\">TRIO Student Support Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"feature-cta-grid\">\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-block feature-cta-block__25 feature-cta-color feature-cta-color--large feature-cta-color--bg-grad-cap feature-cta-color--bg-upper-right feature-cta-color--aqua wsu-block\">            <div class=\"feature-cta-color__stat\">+1<\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-color__title\">Letter Grade Improvement<\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-color__description\"><p>Students in the S2I program improve, on average, by nearly a letter grade (.71 on a 4.0 scale).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-block feature-cta-block__25 feature-cta-color feature-cta-color--large feature-cta-color--bg-star feature-cta-color--bg-lower-right feature-cta-color--green wsu-block\">            <div class=\"feature-cta-color__stat\">3.1<\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-color__title\">Average GPA<\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-color__description\"><p>Students who use Tutoring Services have 3.1 average GPA (on a 4.0 scale). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-block feature-cta-block__25 feature-cta-color feature-cta-color--large feature-cta-color--bg-star feature-cta-color--bg-upper-right feature-cta-color--aqua wsu-block\">            <div class=\"feature-cta-color__stat\">50<\/div>\n                <div class=\"feature-cta-color__title\">Peer Tutors &amp; Individual appointments are available during a wide range of days and times. You\u2019ll see drop-in sessions (blue), 1-on-1 sessions (green), and small group sessions (yellow) listed in the TracCloud calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most tutoring is provided in the Library 220, but some tutors work out of other campus buildings too. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/support\/writing-center\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2426\">Writing Center<\/a> tutoring is held in Minne 348.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact location is noted in TracCloud calendar for every appointment and drop-in session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block tabs\">\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-nav\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-1\">1-on-1 Appointments<\/button>\n<button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-2\">Drop-In Tutoring<\/button>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-content\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">1-on-1 Appointments<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Sign up for a 1-on-1 appointment at least 6 hours in advance through the <a href=\"https:\/\/traccloud.go-redrock.com\/winona\/trac\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TracCloud calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can schedule up to 1 hour of appointments per tutor per week. Openings may fill up quickly, so plan ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Feel free to bring friends who are in the same class to your\u00a01-on-1 appointment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Drop-In Tutoring<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Drop-in tutoring is convenient because you just show up at the time and location listed and a tutor will be there to help. There is no limit to how often you can use drop-in tutoring.<\/p>\n<p>The tutor may be helping several students or groups of students from different classes at the same time. Bring any relevant materials such as textbooks, worksheets, notes, handouts, or other supplies you may need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be as clear as you can about the specific questions or problem areas to focus on. want to have.
