They also collaborate with and make referrals to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/wellness\/counseling-services\/\">Counseling Services.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Physical Exams<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Physical exams are available for education programs, pre-operative, pre-employment, sports participation and international travel.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Health Services goes beyond basic aches and illnesses, offering additional healthcare services as well as lab services.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block accordion\">\n        <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Acute_Injuries\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Acute_Injuries\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Acute Injuries        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Our team will evaluate and treat injuries, making referrals for x-ray and further evaluation as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Health Services has crutches, braces, and splints available for purchase.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Allergy_Injections\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Allergy_Injections\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Allergy Injections        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Allergy injections can be administered by nurses based on the allergy serum and dosing form needed from home allergist.<\/p>\n<p>The serum is serum stored at Health Services in a temperature controlled refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p>You will be required to wait for 30 minutes after the injection.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Immunizations\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Immunizations\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Immunizations        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Students are required to have certain immunizations, and Health &amp; Wellness Services offers a variety of vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about both required and optional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/wellness\/health-services\/clinic-services\/immunizations\/\">immunizations<\/a>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Laboratory_Services\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Laboratory_Services\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Laboratory Services        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Laboratory services available include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blood tests<\/li>\n<li>Urinalysis<\/li>\n<li>Pregnancy tests<\/li>\n<li>Strep screens<\/li>\n<li>Sexually transmitted infections (STI) screens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Orders from students&#8217; home clinician\/provider are accepted and the results reported to ordering clinician\/provider.<\/p>\n<p>Outside clinician\/providers can fax laboratory orders to WSU Health &amp; Wellness Services at 507.457.2326.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Nutrition_Education\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Nutrition_Education\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Nutrition Education        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>A healthcare provider will address any nutrition concerns and make referrals to a dietician as needed.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n    <div class=\"panel panel--white\">\n        <div class=\"panel__container\">\n            <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                        <\/div>\n            \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sexual-health\">Sexual Health<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sexual health is an important part of your overall wellbeing. All information is confidential, and services are offered without judgment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health Services offers standard reproductive health exams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Annual preventative health exams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pap smears<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gynecologic concerns such as: vaginal infections, menstrual concerns, sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breast complaints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Health Services also provides services for people who are or planning to be sexually active.&nbsp;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block accordion\">\n        <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button <p>All forms of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bedsider.org\/birth-control\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">birth control<\/a>\u00a0available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pills<\/li>\n<li>Shots<\/li>\n<li>Implants Nurse Exam (SANE)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no charge for the exam.&nbsp;A SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurse is available to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an evidentiary exam, where physical evidence of the sexual assault is collected and documented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>treatment\/prevention for STIs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pregnancy testing\/prevention&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider using other&nbsp;campus resources&nbsp;to receive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/student-life\/support\/advocacy-center\/if-youve-been-sexually-assaulted\/\">additional support after a sexual assault<\/a>.
