Do you have what it takes to be a world changer?

Every community needs its world changers. They are the ones who have great ideas and have the courage to carry them through. Among the ranks of great world changers are Ghandi and Martin Luther King. Doing a major in health promotion may not turn you into a Ghandi or a King but it will help you to develop the skills and experience you need to work in the ways they did to change the world.

Health promoters change the world in big ways and in small. We change the world every time we support a person take charge of his or her own life and health, every time we empower a community to become safer and more able to deal with its own problems. It’s not our job to help people, if you are a ‘helper’ we don’t need you. If you are enthusiastic about serving your community, resourceful and full of ideas and have the courage to really lead, you’re who we’re looking for.
