New students and transfer students will receive information about the e-Warrior: Digital Life and Learning Program, and how to get a laptop and tablet when they come to campus for group registration. Any new students who do not register during the group registration times should contact the Technical Support Center in Somsen Hall for laptop information.
Depending on when a student registers they may be able to pick up a laptop and tablet on the same day as their registration. If mobile devices are not available technicians will be available to schedule a pick up time.
WSU Students on Rochester Campus
The e-Warrior requirement applies to some WSU students on the Rochester campus, such as Computer Science and Education. Other WSU Rochester Campus students can voluntarily participate in the program with the same fees as other participants. Those students in Rochester who would like to voluntarily participate in the laptop program should contact technicians in room GL118 or call 507.457.5240.
Part-Time and Graduate Students
The e-Warrior: Digital Life and Learning requirement does not apply to part-time (less than 12 credits) WSU students, however, these students can voluntarily participate in the program with the same fees as other participants. Those students who want to voluntarily participate should contact the Technical Support Center (Somsen Hall room 207) or call 507.457.5240.
Student Mobile Device Exchanges
Mobile Devices (laptop and tablets) are exchanged for newer models when they are approximately 2 years old. Students will be contacted by email, when it is time to exchange their devices for a newer model. Most exchanges occur during the school year and the first week of Fall semester. Users must back up data on their devices prior to the exchange date.
