Maryam E. Grami
Professor

Ph.D., Materials Science and Engineering, University of California-Davis
M.S.,B.S., Shiraz University, Iran

Dr. Maryam E. Grami holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis (1991). Her doctoral research work was on the high temperature synthesis and processing of ceramics and ceramic matrix composites. Dr. Grami was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at University of California, Davis for two years. Her research was focused on the synthesis and processing of ceramic and composite thin films on silicon wafers and high temperature synthesis and processing of metal matrix composites at different gravitational forces. She has several publications and one patent. Dr. Grami has been a faculty member at WSU since 1993. Her research interests include the synthesis of intermetallic matrix composites, synthesis and characterization of multi-component ceramic oxides for high-temperature applications, and characterization of nylon and polypropylene layered silicate nanocomposites.
