Graduate Assistant ContractOnce you have accepted a graduate assistantship at Winona State University, you will be contacted by Student Payroll to come in and sign a contract. The graduate assistant contract defines:
- Dates of your assignment
- Stipend amount
- Number of hours you are required to work
- Details regarding the tuition reimbursement benefit
The contract also stipulates several guidelines and policies that govern GA appointments on campus. You will be provided with a copy of your contract as well as a payroll schedule for the defined term of your assistantship.
Your GA contract must be signed before you may begin working.
The amount of your stipend will be divided equally among the pay periods covered in your contract. You will be paid every two weeks for the term of your contract. The first and last payroll payments may be prorated depending on your begin and end dates of employment.
