AID: the Dynamic, Acessible, Reliable, Natural moving AID for people with limited mobility Austin Erdenberger, Rebecca Tabbert, Nate Van Roekel, Daryn York Faculty Mentor: Keith Dennehy D.A.R.N. AID is composite fore-arm crutches that offer acessibility for people with limited mobility. Manufactured of carbon fiber/ epoxy tubes and aluminum fittings, the crutches need to be stable, able to support weight of user, and be small and light in design. The product allows for one to feel mobile like everyone else; its dependable and feels like a natural extension of the user. The design allows the product to be personalized to the user to maximize comfort. |
