- Graduating senior Sunzida Ferdous has completely redesigned the Chemistry Department website! Thanks Sunzida!
- Award winners for 2007-2008 and scholarships for 2008-2009 were recently announced. See the bottom of this page for the winners!
- We are happy to announce that Katie Hailer will return next year as our new tenure-track Biochemistry Professor. Katie has a Ph.D. in Bioinorganic
chemistry from the University of Montana.
- Brad Seurer is leaving us to take a postdoctoral research postion at Michigan State University. Brad finished up his Ph.D. in Polymer Science and
Engineering from U. Mass during the last year at the same time he carried a full time teaching load here at WSU. Brad received his B.S. from Winona State.
- Dr. Nalli presented a paper at the National ACS Meeting in New Orleans in April. Also attending was chemistry student, Steve Klankowski, who presented a poster entitled "Creation of a Web Accessible NMR Spectral Database".
- Dr. Jeanne Franz is returning from her year-long sabbatical this fall semester. Franz spent the last year as a visiting scientist at the
Upper Mississippi River Research Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
- Dr. Bruce Svingen is the President of the WSU Faculty Association!
