Career Opportunities
The art curriculum develops students problem-solving skills and prepares graduates with communication skills that are applicable to a variety of career paths.
WSU art graduates have careers in teaching, in museums and art centers, and in a broad range of business enterprises. BS Art (Teaching) majors are prepared for teacher certification in the State of Minnesota (grades K-12). Graduates with the BA Graphic Design Option find employment in private, public, and non-profit sectors, designing for a wide range of media, including print and web-based functions, or working in closely related fields such as photography. Some BA Art Studio majors continue their education, pursuing advanced degrees.
