Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Our yearly calendar is distributed to all parents in August. Our structured preschool program hours are 9:00-11:30 a.m. with a 15 minute grace period on each end for pick-up and drop-off.

Children Served:

Maxwell site:

• 15 infants (6 weeks to 14 months)
• 16 toddler I (14 months to 2 years old)
• 18 toddler II (18 months to 36 months old),
• 43 preschoolers (31 months to Kindergarten),
• 35 school agers (Kindergarten through Fourth Grade).

Madison site:

• 12 toddlers (18 months to 36 months)
• 18 preschoolers (33 months to Kindergarten)

Maxwell Children's Center provides students, faculty/staff, and community members with customized quality early education and care programs for children aged 6 weeks through Fourth Grade at two sites -- on-campus at Wabasha Hall and off-campus at Madison Elementary School.

The center opened in 2000, when the existing WSU Nursery school and child care centers merged bringing the best of educational and nurturing care experiences together.

Winona State Univeristy has provided recognized early childhood education and care since 1973.
