Important Dates for New Students

Here are some important dates to keep in mind as you count down the days to your first semester at WSU.


Sept. 1
Begin applications for Fall 2019. Apply anytime until July 2019 but sooner is better!
Sept. 17
WSU begins mailing admission decisions for Fall 2019.
Oct. 1
Begin FAFSA anytime after Oct 1. Filing after May 15 2019 may delay awards for Fall.
Oct. 1
Residence hall applications open for Fall 2019. Sooner is better for room selection!
Oct. 18 & 19
Fall Open House Programs begin 9am and 1pm.
Oct. 21-27
Free Application Week for College Knowledge Month
Oct. 24 & 25
See us at the Minneapolis National College Fair.
Oct. 29
Local Night at WSU-- complete your FAFSA on campus with help from Financial Aid staff.
Nov. 30
Choose WSU Admitted Student Day


Feb. 8 & 15 Choose WSU Admitted Student Day
March 1 Choose WSU Admitted Student Day.
March 22 & 29 Early Registration Day for Fall 2019 by invitation only.
April 8, 12 & 15 Choose WSU Admitted Student Day.
May 1 Deadline to Confirm Fall Enrollment
June 17-21 New Student Registration Days. RSVP for your one-day experience.

Bring your parents and family for special sessions just for them.
Aug. 20 First-Year Student Move-In Day! Learn about the process for moving into your res hall.
Aug. 20-24 Get everything you need to start your year off right during New Student Orientation and Welcome Week.
Aug. 26 First Day of Fall Classes
Sept. 21-23
Invite your family to visit campus for Family Weekend.
Sept. 30-Oct.7
Celebrate being a Warrior at WSU Homecoming.
