Social Work


The Social Work Department at WSU is a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited BSW program since 1984. 

Community Engaged

The Social Work program focuses on community engaged learning activities in the classroom and through internships. Throughout the Social Work major students learn the values, skills and knowledge necessary to be generalist social work practitioners.

Qualified Faculty

With highly qualified faculty from diverse backgrounds, students develop their interpersonal, communication, critical thinking and leadership skills.

Professional Career

Upon graduation, most students find their careers in human service organizations. Scholarships and stipends are also available.

Winona – Rochester

Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered at both Winona and Rochester campuses.
