No matter which option you choose, you can take nearly any of our excellent courses. You’ll learn media history, research, ethics, law and theory along with hands-on classes in writing, audio-video production, interactive environments and game design. Get excited about special topics such as social media, electronic literature, documentary film-making or aerial photography.
Phelps Hall will be your playground: use a modern TV studio, KQAL radio station, audio lab, high-end workstations, darkroom, transmedia “makerspace” lab and wide range of photography and video equipment for checkout.
Faculty are engaged in scholarship, creative endeavors and projects with student learning in mind. Staff members will help you with equipment, internships and extracurricular activities. You will work closely with real clients in real situations on real campaigns, publications and productions. We will challenge you, support your learning and give you tools for creativity. You can expect personal advising, internship experiences and a new network of friends, mentors and colleagues.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about our offerings, and I hope to see you in and around Phelps Hall.
