In honor of Women’s History Month, join us on March 19 for a reading of the play “My Name Is Rachel Corrie” (edited by Alan Rickman and Katharine Viner), with performances interspersed throughout.
This play excerpts the diaries of Rachel Corrie, who was murdered in 2003 by Israeli forces while protecting a Palestinian family.
Opening performances are by Sana Wazwaz and Andrea Shaker. There will be opportunities to learn about civic engagement at the end of the performance.
Doors open at 5:30pm.
This event is a collaboration between the Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and Theatre & Dance departments; The Cedar Tree Project; and Theatre Du Mississippi.
