On March 20, join us for Dr. Aaron Lohmeyer’s presentation, “Reading Sound: Freedom and Constraint within Music Media Designs.”
Music media changed rapidly in the 20th century, and Dr. Lohmeyer’s presentation will provide a rough overview of text design changes and how the act of reading sound presents both freedoms and constraints for the reader.
This talk also discusses how musical media may either support or discourage democratic beliefs regarding self-expression.
This presentation is through the Consortium for Liberal Arts & Sciences Promotion (CLASP) series.
